Nutritional Support for Elastic Tissues in High Performance Horses

Racing horses often suffer from bleeding in the lungs, which severely affects performance due to reduction in oxygen uptake.  BCS™ was formulated and tested to help flexibility and strength of lung tissue in both bleeders and normal racehorses.

  • Specially stabilised vitamin A and natural high potency, RRR-form of vitamin E as antioxidants for elastic tissue integrity and function.

  • Organic chelated copper, zinc and manganese for collagen fibre strength and repair.

  • Bioflavonoid (rutin concentrate) compounds and vitamin C for collagen fibre maintenance.

BCS is the ultimate Bleeding Control Supplement to support healthy lung capacity

Which Horses Benefit?
  • Daily supplement for maintenance of lung and tendon tissues.

  • High dose supplement for specific benefits to the strength and repair of collagen and elastic fibres

  • Horses with a history of lung bleeding (Exercise-Induced Pulmonary Haemorrhage EIPH).

  • As an aid to tendon/ ligament healing and rehabilitation.

  • Young horses in early training to help ensure the development of strong lung tissue and tendons in response to exercise.

Major Ingredients
BCS is formulated to make up the shortfalls of specific nutrients in grain, processed feeds and hay commonly fed to racing and performance horses.  Long term storage of grains, chaff and hays, as well as heat processing of feed ingredients in commercial packaged feed, may damage key nutrients involved in the maintenance of collagen tissue.

  • BCS provides supplementary vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin B6 for collagen health and function
  • Trace-minerals including copper, zinc and manganese. BCS features these important nutrients in premium, potent and bioavailable forms, such as organic protein chelates, for optimum uptake, absorption and utilisation.
  • BCS also provides a source of vitamin C, which in conjunction with the other nutrients, has a role in maintaining the normal structural integrity and function of collagen and elastic tissues in the lungs, tendons and ligaments.
  • BCS is presented as a palatable powder with a subtle vanilla flavour.
  • BCS does not contain banned substances or contravene the Rules of Racing or FEI Competition, but rules prohibiting the use of pre-race supplements should be followed if required by local Racing or Competition authorities.
